“I’m dreading Christmas at the moment.
I usually do too much and get in a state."

What You'll Learn....
This 90-minute interactive workshop (and the accompanying workbook) will help you understand why your grief is so unique, and what's happening in your body and nervous system, so that you can choose tools that work instead of forcing yourself to try well-intentioned advice that doesn't land.
Using the theory behind our attachment patterns and physical responses, I will guide you through an exploration about:
Why the festive period feels so overwhelming and why your body’s responses are key to understanding what is going on
The attachment patterns that show up in times of crisis and why your partner and/or family might have responded differently to you
How to recognise your nervous system state and match your coping strategies to what your body and mind actually need
Practical techniques that work regardless of what stage of grief you are in
How to move from barely surviving the festive period to finding moments where you can thrive

Is this workshop for me?
"I'm only 6 months into grief - is it too soon?"
This workshop is relevant whether you're 4 months or over 7 years into grief. The nervous system and attachment patterns we will explore are universal, and the tools can be adapted to wherever you are in your journey.
"I'm not a widow - my loss was different. Will this still help?"
While the workshop is designed primarily for widows and bereaved people, the content about attachment, nervous system responses, and navigating difficult holidays applies to anyone facing Christmas after divorce, estrangement, chronic illness, or any significant loss.
"I've done lots of therapy/grief work already - will I learn anything new?"
If you haven't specifically explored the attachment theory and polyvagal theory aspects of your grief response, yes. This workshop focuses on the why behind your reactions - which often isn't covered in traditional grief support.
"I'm not good with theory/academic stuff - will this be too complicated?"
Not at all. I explain the theory in practical, accessible ways and always link it back to real-life examples and what you can actually do with this knowledge.
"What if I can't attend live?"
You'll get the recording, so you can watch in your own time. However, the live session includes interactive elements and Q&A that make it particularly valuable if you can attend.
"I'm worried I'll get emotional during the workshop - is that okay?"
Absolutely. This is a safe space. You can have your camera off, step away if you need to, and there's no pressure to share anything you're not comfortable with.
"Will this just be more 'bubble baths and self-care' advice?"
No. We're going deeper than surface-level coping tips. You'll understand why certain tools work (or don't) based on your nervous system state - which is far more useful than generic advice.
"I don't celebrate Christmas/I'm not religious - is this still relevant?"
Yes - the workshop is about navigating the festive period and all the expectations, family dynamics, and societal pressure that comes with it, regardless of your personal beliefs or celebration style.
"What if my question isn't answered here?"
